Health & Hospital Law

We serve as general counsel to Bay Medical Center, a 467 bed regional medical center. We possess a comprehensive knowledge of the legal issues related to hospitals and health practitioners, as well as a broad working knowledge and understanding of general health care laws. We represent several medical practices and have assisted them with physician employment agreements, practice and business entity structuring, resolving physician non-competition issues, and real estate acquisition and partnerships. We also represent health care practitioners in defending regulatory and licensure actions brought by the Florida Department of Health, Florida Board of Medicine, or any other Florida professional practice board. We have a fully staffed medical collections department that assists in collecting outstanding payments for health services. Finally, we represent physicians in defense of medical malpractice claims.

Robert C. Jackson and Douglas J. Sale lead our Health and Hospital Law Group. D. Ross McCloy, Jr., a Board Certified Civil Trial and Business Litigation Lawyer, handles medical malpractice defense cases. Kevin Obos and Andrew Levy also practice in this area.
