Florida Trend, the magazine of Florida business, named Doug Sale as one of Florida''s Legal Elite in its July issue. Sale is one of only twenty-one government and administrative law lawyers statewide to receive the honor. Sale leads the firm''s local government practice group and was also named Municipal Attorney of the Year by the Florida Municipal Attorney''s Association in 1999. Florida Trend''s Legal Elite is one of the preeminent referral guides to the legal profession in the state. Members of the Florida Bar nominate attorneys for the award, then an independent research firm and a panel of prominent lawyers make the final selections. The Legal Elite encompasses only the top two percent of practicing attorneys in Florida.
